On behalf of Lantmäteriet and the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, Sweco has conducted a survey to create a situational picture of the municipalities' work on digitization of detailed plans.
Planning manager, GIS coordinator or person with knowledge of digitization work has responded to a digital survey. 90% (261 of 290) of Sweden's municipalities responded to the survey. This provides a good representation of different municipal groups and thus reliable response results.
- 37% of the responding municipalities have started or are finished with the digitization of the detailed plans.
- 43% answered that they have not started any digitization but have plans for it in the future.
- 70% of the municipalities that have started or have completed their digitization of the detailed plans carried out the work in-house.
- 21% of all municipalities had not started digitizing the detailed plans and have no plans to do so.
- 44% of all responding municipalities have a digital overview plan.
Based on this, many municipalities believe that the digitization of the detailed plans provides:
- increased accessibility
- good analyzes
- more e-services
- increased efficiency
- higher degree of legal certainty
- more equality for all involved.
Of the municipalities that plan to digitize their detailed plans, 34 respond % that they also plan to carry out a quality control and measurement of the property boundaries. Of the municipalities that have already digitized all or parts of their detailed plans, 10% state that they have carried out quality control and measurement.
