Topography 10 Download, vector

The product is suitable as a background map and as input data to GIS-applications. It’s suitable to use in the scale range 1:1 000 - 1:20 000. The content contains, among other things, buildings, types of land, roads, hydrography and Lantmäteriets reviewed and established names retrieved from the Place-names Register. The product name in Swedish is Topografi 10 Nedladdning, vektor.

About this product

The product is based on Lantmäteriets basic geographical databases where the information has been collected with different quality regarding location uncertainty, content and timeliness.

It contains buildings, facilities, land types, hydrography, roads from the Swedish Transport Administration and Lantmäteriets reviewed and established names retrieved from the Place-names Register etc.

Topography 10 Download, vector can be combined with other vector products, for example Administrative units Download, vector or Cadastral Parcels Download, vector. The vector format allows you to customize the map to your own business.

You can:

add and link your own information to objects in the map
integrate the map information into your own system
combine with information from the Real Property Register, for example information about buildings
show or hide information using the layering

Geographical selection: Index tiles (5 x 5 km), any polygon, municipality, county, Sweden
Delivery formats: GeoPackage
Coordinate systems: SWEREF 99 TM (EPSG:3006), SWEREF 99 local zones (EPSG:3007-3018).

Maintenance and update frequency

The information is partly updated periodically in Lantmäteriets own direction, partly more continuously in collaboration. The in-house collection is carried out through interpretation in aerial images in stereo and orthophoto. Collaboration across the country takes place for buildings, roads, power lines, NSL objects (National shoreline), nature conservation areas and military areas.

To achieve completeness, additions through photogrammetric updating are required. Where no collaboration takes place, data is updated using aerial image interpretation. The timeliness in different areas therefore depends on the image supply program[EK1] and the agreements that exist with the collaboration partners.

Pre-produced data

Some deliveries of geodata are done from a pre-produced layer that is updated once a week. This applies to deliveries of county, municipal and national selections. When county and national selections are delivered in the coordinate system SWEREF 99 TM or when the municipal selections are delivered in local SWEREF systems, the data is collected from the pre-produced layer. All other deliveries are done from data sources updated once a day.

The information layers contain land surfaces, hydrographic facilities, watercourses, buildings, building facilities, construction areas and airports. In addition, communication information such as roads, railways and transport routes in the mountains as well as information on power lines, protected nature, restricted areas in the mountains, military areas, the Arctic Circle and also Lantmäteriets reviewed and established names that are included in the Place-names Register.

The product also contains height curves, in 5 meters equidistance, generated by Lantmäteriet based on laser data.

Demo data

To be able to test the data you must have access to an appropriate application, for example ArcGIS or QGIS.

On the page Demo data there are two areas. One city area in Gothenburg, called Majorna and one forest environment area alongside a stream called Emån.
